The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has planned a public meeting regarding an upcoming project on state Route 7 in Washington County.
The project is taking place between Moore's Junction and state Route 550. As part of the project, the concrete barrier wall and guardrail will be replaced, the road will be resurfaced, and drainage will be improved.
In addition, there will be intermittent blasting operations beginning on Feb. 24 for the purpose of repairing a rockfall hazard. The public is invited to attend the meeting to learn more about these operations.
The blasting operations will require the closure of the northbound and southbound lanes for up to 15 minutes at a time. A detailed schedule will be made available once it is established.
The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Belpre Christian Academy, located at 200 1st Lane, Belpre.
Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability. Persons who require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or persons who require translation services or sign language interpreters should contact the organizer listed on this page at least 15 calendar days prior to the public hearing.
