The Office of Technical Services collects data to support decision-making and determine funding. The ODOT Facts Book is an annual publication that neatly, concisely and comprehensively publishes all that data in one place in one handy booklet for public consumption. If you ever wanted to know how many bridges ODOT maintains or how many miles of interstate roadway criss-crosses Ohio, this is the publication to consult. We break a lot of our data down by county. We know that Ohio is the sixth most traveled state in the nation. We know this because we track vehicle miles traveled as does every other state in the nation. We know that Ohio maintains 27,277 bridges. And we know which counties have the highest traffic deaths and which have the lowest. And we make decisions about funding, maintenance and need based on these statistics. We collect the data, and we share the data.
The ODOT Facts Book represents data from the previous year. This is ODOT Fact Book 2019.
